Sneak Peek at my Journal
I have been hard at work preparing my prayer journal for the upcoming year and I wanted to give you a sneak peek into what my vision is.
I live on a very tight budget. I just graduated from college about 19 months ago, I just purchased a home 12 months ago, and I just had a baby about 9 months ago. So to say money is sometimes tight, would be a HUGE understatement.
If you look on Pinterest, Google, or Amazon, you can find amazing prayer journals! I actually was gifted a very reasonably priced and adorable prayer journal which I have been using everyday as well! It is only a 3 month prayer journal, but since this is my first time ever using a prayer journal, it is a wonderful guide! I have added the link below.
My journal is made out of a binder, notebook paper, and section dividers that I made and printed on white paper! I had everything already in my home so it cost me nothing to create, but if you didn’t have any of these items, they could all be purchased for less than $5.00.

My journal is divided by days of the week. I have found that if I focus on one set of things to pray for each day, I have a more clear and focused prayer.
Monday: Myself and My Ministry
Tuesday: My Spouse and My Marriage
Wednesday: My Coworkers, My Work, and My Patients
Thursday: My Child
Friday: My Finances, My Friends, and My family
Saturday: Others
Sunday: My Church, My Government, The World
Each day I will pray for these different topics specifically. My daily prayer also includes prayer requests, daily praise, asking for forgiveness and guidance, and anything else that is heavy on my heart.
Another thing I really wanted to include in my prayer life is listing and dating my prayer requests. I want to date my prayer requests and my praise reports because I want to be able to glorify God when my prayers are answered and remind myself to be patient if I haven’t received the answer yet.

I have added a NEW PAGE to the blog: Prayer Requests/Praise Reports. I would love to pray for you!! If you have any request or praises you want to share with me please click on the Prayer Requests/Praise Reports page and submit your request or praise! I believe in the power of people praying for one another in faith!
The Bible tells us many things about prayer. In Matthew Chapter 6 starting at verse 5, the Lord tells us how to pray! He says in Matthew 6:7-8 ““And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” These verse hit home to me. This is why I want my prayer to be organized and focused. Without my prayer journal, my prayers could go on and on and on. I want my prayers to be powerful. I want to be a prayer warrior and organization will help me get there.
I have attached my outlines of my prayer journal! If you feel that prayer journaling is something that would help strengthen your prayers and your relationship with Jesus then I really encourage you to start this journey with me!
Be Blessed,
Lauren

Welcome to my Blog!
I wanted to personally extend a warm welcome to my blog! I am so excited you are here and taking the time to read this!
My name is Lauren Horton and I am a 23 year old wife, mother, and Jesus follower. My son’s name is Thomas and he is 8 months old. I have been married for almost 3 years to my wonderful high school sweetheart, Taylor. I live in Georgia with my husband, son, and father.
I feel the Lord has called me to start a blog so that I can share how He has changed my life and how my faith has grown even when everything in my world seemed to be falling apart.
My life is far from perfect but I am so grateful that I have a perfect God. In my next blog post, I will share with you my journey of losing my mother to cancer at the age of 22 while being 9 weeks pregnant with Thomas.
My Verse that I repeat to myself daily and that keeps me grounded in my faith is Romans 12:12. “Be JOYFUL in HOPE, PATIENT in AFFLICTION, and FAITHFUL in PRAYER!
My resolution for 2018 is to dedicate myself to what the Lord has been calling me to do and I pray you will journey with me!
Be Blessed,
Lauren
